It will be the most asked question today as the nation awaits the start of the Euro 2020 final between England and Italy tonight.
The country has never seen such a hustle and bustle since, well, you know when, and it’s never more evident than in the streets of the Northeast.
They are adorned with England’s red and white flag as the North East shows its true colors ahead of tonight’s game. which starts at 8 p.m.
England was always expected to come out of the group stage, which they did with a slight # wrestling, beating Croatia, Scotland and the Czech Republic.
After that came the knockout stage with the first victory over Germany followed by a 4-0 victory over Ukraine.
In the semifinals and after the 2-1 victory over Denmark, the whole country was dreaming.
Houses and streets are flooded with banners and flags. The cars proudly displayed the red and white St George flag.
There will be around 60,000 spectators at Wembley Stadium tonight with the spirit of the 56 million people in England supporting Gareth Southgate’s team from their homes.
The number of people in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland behind England is open to debate.
