Inside Jordan Pickford homecoming party as friends surprise England keeper with a hero’s welcome UK News

Jordan Pickford received a heroic welcome as friends threw him a huge homecoming party in the aftermath of England’s heartache for Euro 2020.

The former Sunderland goalkeeper was a real star during the Three Lions’ Euro campaign which ended in a heartbreaking loss to Italy on penalties in the final at Wembley.

Having kept five clean goals – three in England group matches, then against Germany and Ukraine in later stages; Jordan did all he could to give Gareth Southgate’s men the shootout victory, saving two Italian penalties.

But sadly, after a trio of England players missed their shots on goal, football “went to Rome” rather than come home as Italy took the win.

Ahead of the big game, the number 1 Everton Jordan had already clinched the Golden Glove for Euro 2020 after his impressive performances between the posts in recent weeks.

And her loved ones were in a festive mood Tuesday night as they welcomed her home with a big outdoor party.

A crowd of pals and parents gathered under a large marquee to await Jordan’s arrival, with his wife Megan Davison, who was there for every England game except one, capturing his entry in his Instagram story.

Jordan walked into the party to the sound of Sweet Caroline, the Neil Diamond classic that became England’s adopted anthem for Euro 2020, with the players performing on the Wembley pitch after beating the Denmark in the semi-finals.

The marquee was adorned with Welcome Home Jordan banners with guests including Megan all wearing face masks.


Uploading a photo of one of the banners, Megan thanked her husband’s “boys” for hosting the party, before posing for a photo with her other half, whom she married at a registry office in Crewe last year, after dating him. since their school years in Washington.

After Sunday’s game, Megan posted a photo of Jordan in action for England to her Instagram account and captioned it: “No words to say how proud I am of you and all you have accomplished, what a tournament, now let’s go home for our baby boy after 6 long weeks “

Jordan and Megan’s young son, Arlo, was at the homecoming party dressed as Spiderman.
