Police appeal after pedestrians injured in Hastings crash Brighton News

POLICE calls for witnesses after a car collided with two pedestrians at a bus stop.

The collision occurred on Queens Road in Hastings just after 1 a.m. on Saturday July 24.

Police said a BMW car pulled off the road and collided with a man and woman standing at a bus stop.

The couple were taken to Conquest Hospital in Hastings for treatment.

The man sustained serious injuries to the leg and the woman was treated for minor injuries.

The driver of the car, a 33-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving causing serious injury and driving above the prescribed blood alcohol limit.

He has since been released under investigation for further investigation.

PC Stuart Kenway urges anyone with information relating to the incident to come forward.

“We would love to hear from anyone who saw the BMW drive before the collision and the incident itself,” he said.

“Also from anyone who has a dash cam or CCTV footage of the collision.”
