Fire at Crawley Goods Yard in Gatwick Road Brighton News

A FIRE broke out at Crawley Goods Yard last night and was taken care of by firefighters.

West Sussex Fire and Rescue was called to the scene of a fire at the Gatwick Road Aggregate Depot at 10:40 p.m. on Saturday, July 31.

A spokesperson for West Sussex Fire and Rescue said the incident involved the recycling of materials at a company’s site.

Firefighters used a jet and hose reel to extinguish the blaze.

A spokesperson said: “Six devices were present – these were from Horsham, Crawley, Turners Hill, Godstone, Reigate, Brighton Aerial Ladder Platform and Uckfield Water Carrier.”

There are no reports of injuries from the incident and the crews finished at 12:50 a.m.
