Queen of Covid scares off as ‘Balmoral worker sent home after positive test’ UK News

The Queen reportedly intends to stay at Balmoral despite fear of Covid-19.

A staff member was sent home over the weekend following a positive PCR, but the Queen has decided to stay and continue enjoying her vacation.

Her Majesty reportedly saw the trip as an opportunity to get back to normal amid the death of her husband Prince Philip.

She is joined by a “castle full” of relatives, including Prince Andrew, his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mozzi, as well as her youngest son Prince Edward and his wife Sophie.

A source told The Sun: ‘All Balmoral staff are tested for Covid daily and on Saturday this person tested positive.

“They were sent home and the staff canteen and bar were closed. They are in a separate block from the estate. ”

Workers have been urged to wear face masks and to distance themselves socially in the wake of the health crisis.

The monarch’s annual stay at Balmoral marks the first time she has vacationed in her private estate since the death of her husband, the Duke of Edinburgh.

Scotland has been a welcome sanctuary for the Royal Family since the days of Queen Victoria as they relax and have fun in the countryside in the beautiful surroundings of the Highlands.
