New Green List in its entirety – and countries open to Britons to go on vacation UK News

Travelers from seven other countries will no longer have to self-quarantine after being added to the UK’s travel green list.

Canada, Denmark, Finland, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Switzerland and the Azores will go from orange to green starting at 4 a.m. on Sunday, August 30, in time for the end of summer.

Under the Green List travel rules, you will not need to self-isolate on your return to the UK from these destinations, although you will need to take a PCR test on the second day.

The Green Watchlist offers the same rules, except that Watchlist destinations have a higher risk of being moved to the Amber Box.

However, just because the UK says you can visit a country doesn’t mean it’s automatically available for vacation, reports The Mirror.

For example, some Green List countries like Australia and New Zealand continue to keep their borders closed to tourists, while others like Bulgaria are not open to British holidaymakers. Others like Barbados offer a certain quarantine (this can be reduced if you are fully vaccinated against Covid).

Still, that doesn’t mean you can’t visit any of the green destinations. In fact, there are a number that have reopened to Brits, sometimes only to those who are completely stung, but in other cases to vaccinated and unvaccinated British travelers.

To lend a hand, we’ve done the job and narrowed the list down to countries you can visit without the need for quarantine on either side – although we’ve included the full allow list at the bottom of this article as well.

Check out our guide below.

Green List Countries You Can Visit For Holidays

Anguilla: Adults must be fully immunized, that is, have received their last dose at least 21 days before arriving in Anguilla.

Antigua and Barbuda: Open to unvaccinated and vaccinated Britons, but you will need a negative PCR test result taken within seven days of departure. This should be administered by a healthcare professional. There may also be health examinations upon your arrival.

Croatia: Open to unvaccinated and vaccinated Britons – in both cases you will be required to present a negative PCR test result taken within 72 hours of arrival, or an antigen test performed within 48 hours of arrival.

Iceland: Open only to fully vaccinated Britons.

Latvia: Anyone 12 years of age or older will need a negative PCR test result taken within 72 hours of boarding, or an antigen test performed within 48 hours.
