Biker seriously injured in head after accident Bath City News

A Somerset man sustained serious head injuries in an accident this afternoon (Monday).

The collision took place around 12:55 p.m. today (August 30) on the A3066 Bridport Road in Dorset.

It was an orange Kawasaki motorcycle and an orange and black Renault Captur, Dorset Live reports.

Police, paramedics and firefighters were all called to the scene of the crash, which left a Somerset man in his 30s with serious head injuries.

Dorset Police have launched an investigation and are appealing to all witnesses.

The driver of the motorcycle was taken to Southmead Hospital for treatment. His condition is serious, but not life threatening.

The driver of the Renault and his wife, both locals and aged 70, were taken to hospital as a precaution.

The road was closed between Townsend Way and near The Mount. It was reopened at 4:30 p.m.

Police Sergeant Lee Savage of the Traffic Unit said: Please come on.

“I would also ask anyone who has been driving in the area and has a dashcam installed on their vehicle to check their footage for anything relevant.”
