Police call after finding serious head injuries in Moatcroft Road, Eastbourne Brighton News

A MAN was found unconscious after a confrontation with three other men.

Police are appealing for witnesses following the incident at Moatcroft Road, Eastbourne at 12:01 am on Monday August 30.

A 42-year-old man was found unconscious on the street near the Upperton Road junction with serious head injuries.

He was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton, where he remains in critical but stable condition.

Police investigating the case believe the man was involved in an altercation, potentially with three other men, earlier that night.

The victim was at the Prince Albert pub on the High Street and reportedly left for The Rainbow pub on Moatcroft Road.

Anyone who has witnessed an altercation in any of these locations or in the surrounding streets is urged to contact the police.
