Dozens of emergency personnel, including Coast Guard crews, as well as volunteers from Newhaven and Eastbourne RNLI, searched along the Seaford coast last night.

A Coast Guard helicopter was also assigned to join the search, which continued after 6 p.m.
The Eastbourne and Newhaven RNLI crews were also tasked with the search
A spokesperson for RNLI Newhaven Rescue Station said at the time: “A joint operation is currently underway following a report of a missing person in the area.”
A witness on the beach said the helicopter was seen flying up and down the beach, towards the Seven Sisters and back to Newhaven Harbor.
Sussex Police have been contacted for comment.
