The Somerset orchard where you can “pick your own” fruit in September Bath City News

If you’re looking to welcome the end of summer with some homemade baking, what better way to get your ingredients than to choose your own?

With good weather starting in September, the trees of West Bradley Orchards in Somerset are teeming with delicious apples and ripe pears for the picking.

The orchards are open on weekends in September from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

They are also open on Fridays 3, 10, 17 and 24 September by appointment only.

A West Bradley Orchards spokesperson said: “If you are looking for a great day out with friends and family, love the countryside, fresh fruit and refreshing drinks, then come and pick your own apples and pears straight from our trees.

“We also have our new cider in the fridge for you to enjoy. “

Entry to the farm, at West Bradley, is free and dogs are welcome and people are welcome to bring family and a picnic to make the most of the day.

Payment is made by card only.

Apple juice, cider, local honey and apple logs are also for sale on site and free parking is available.
