Man abused and racially assaulted in Eastbourne town center Brighton News

A MAN was racially abused and assaulted by two men while walking through a city center.

Police are calling for witnesses after two men made racist comments against the victim near the Duke of Devonshire pub on Terminus Road in Eastbourne.

The incident happened between 5:00 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday, July 28.

The two men followed the victim from the pub to the city center, where he was assaulted.

Police said one of the suspects wore a red top, while the other wore a black top.

PC Sean Trimby said, “The actions of these two men are heinous and there is no room for hate crimes in our community.

“We have conducted a number of investigations as part of our investigation, and I encourage anyone who has witnessed this incident or has information about it to come forward.”
