Missing schoolboy, 14, found dead in West Grinstead, Horsham Brighton News

The boy had been reported missing and after a short search he was discovered at Kennel Lane, West Grinstead on Monday, September 27 at around 5:40 p.m.

Emergency services were called to the track, but the teenager was pronounced dead at the scene.

A police spokesperson said: “Emergency services responded and after a short search he was found.

“Despite the work of the officers and paramedics, he was unfortunately declared dead at the scene.

“An investigation has been opened which will include assistance from other agencies.

“The agencies we work with include public health and children’s social services, as well as the school involved.”

Police said the death was considered unexplained but not suspicious at this point.
