WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook all went down this afternoon.
The three sites are all owned by Facebook and share infrastructure. They stopped working a few minutes before 5 p.m.
The outage appears to be international and it is not yet known when the issue will be resolved.
The company took to Twitter to explain, “We are aware that some people are having difficulty accessing our applications and products. We are working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible, and we apologize for everything. inconvenience.”
Meanwhile, Twitter users were happily posting memes and comments shedding light on the issue.
