Made by the Langmeil winery, this wine is aged in French and American oak barrels, and is thick, sumptuous and robust, with flavors of licorice and black fruit. A very good wine.
Beira Douro Touriga Franca 2016

It is one of the varietals used for port, it has a slightly floral scent and makes a red with lots of stuffing and a hint of pink berries.
Chateau Beau-Site 2015

You might not be thinking of Co-op for burgundy, but it has a really great lineup. It’s polished, dark and serious, from a ripe vintage. Also discover Ch Beaumont 2017 (£ 16) and Ch Sénéjac 2018 (£ 17).
