Investigators identified Jack Mallinson, 25, using the Wickr encrypted messaging app with the username winterz100 to send the vile posts.
Mallinson, a trainee solicitor and special constable with West Yorkshire Police, was arrested on 7 January last year by officers from the National Crime Agency (NCA).
Officers found 3,710 indecent images of children on his mobile phone in the AC categories and 14 images of extreme pornographic bestiality on his gaming laptop.
Mallinson, of Wakefield, was charged with five counts of making and possessing indecent images of children and one count of posting obscene posts.
NCA operations manager Matthew Brooks said: “Behind each of these images and videos is a young, powerless and exploited victim.
“The NCA will continue to do everything we can to bring people like Mallinson to justice and protect those affected by online child sexual abuse.”
