The A26 at Newhaven will be closed between the A27 Beddingham roundabout and the A259 every weeknight until Friday March 25.
National Highways reports the closure is due to the replacement of lights along the A26 and will occur between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.

An agency spokesperson said: “We are replacing and upgrading the lighting along the A26 in Newhaven.
“These improvements are essential for the safety of road users.
This work is taking longer than expected and will continue until Friday, March 25.
“To help keep everyone safe, temporary traffic management will be in place along the A26 in Newhaven while we complete the works.
“All work will take place at night (8pm to 6am) Monday to Friday only when there are fewer vehicles on the road causing less disruption.”
A diversion will be put in place by the A259, the B2123 and the A27.
