The box spring, mattress and headboard were dumped near Ringinglow Road on Burbage Moor.
Motorist Sarah Smith, who spotted the spill while driving from Crookes to Hathersage, was so shocked she pulled over to take these photos.
She said: ‘The view was so absolutely appalling, it was almost unbelievable.
“To think that someone would drive to such a stunning place of beauty, on top of incredible moorland surrounded by breathtaking views, deliberately to dump their rubbish, is shameful.
“They must have needed a van or large vehicle, and some effort, to get it to the edge of Burbage – why not just go to a town council to dispose of it properly?

Fines for dumping flies can be up to £20,000 and/or six months’ imprisonment, according to Defra, the government’s Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. Fines are unlimited if the case is taken to the High Court.
Dumpsters can also be sentenced to up to two years in prison and up to five years if hazardous waste is dumped.
Both the driver and the owner of a used vehicle can be sued.
