Birmingham News: Manhunt after fatal stabbing in daylight – police seal off quiet road in UK town | United Kingdom | News UK News

Police said they were called to Grazebrook Croft in the suburb of Bartley Green at 11.20am on Friday. The victim, believed to be in his early 50s, sadly died at the scene.

West Midlands Police said they did not know why the man was attacked and a search was underway to find the culprit.

Detectives conducted door-to-door surveys in the neighborhood and scoured CCTV for clues.

A police drone also captured footage to aid in the investigation.

Teams of specialists have also joined forensic experts in their search for evidence.

Grazebrook Croft and nearby Bigwood Drive were sealed off by West Midlands Police whose spokesman said they would remain cordoned off until at least Saturday.

He added that people living on the roads will be allowed to enter or leave their homes, but they will be disrupted and may have to wait to be escorted to the area.

Officers were working to identify the victims so they could break the sad news to his family.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said he was called at 11.16am to a report of a stabbing in Birmingham.
