Former Hull nightclub to reopen as luxury karaoke bar next month Yorkshire News

Matthew Elms and Jack Mangan, owners of Escape Room Hull and Spare Room Hull, will open Vox Box on the site of the city’s former Tofts nightclub on Newland Avenue next month.

The venue will feature six private suites designed for groups of up to 30, plus a piano bar with live guest performances.

Soundproofed private suites at Vox Box include widescreen HDTVs; superior sound systems; high-quality wireless microphones; an iPad-based beverage ordering system and music database; luxury seats; wall outlets for charging phones; and air conditioning, in addition to a catalog of 80,000 songs.

Vox Box will open on the site of Hull’s former Tofts nightclub on Newland Avenue next month.

Elms and Mangan said, “We’re excited to enhance the elements people love about karaoke: a wide variety of songs, private areas for every occasion and group size, and plenty of room to dance. But we also want to get rid of the things that people hate: poor technology, unpleasantly dark and sweaty rooms, and lines for drinks.”
