Man tries to drag 16-year-old girl to car in Taunton attack Bath City News

Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenage girl was attacked in Taunton last night (March 18). The incident happened at 11:58 p.m. on South Street.

The 16-year-old girl was accosted by a stranger who tried to drag her to a car. She was able to escape and get to safety, but was struck during the incident, leaving her with cuts and bruises.

A statement from Avon and Somerset Police said: “The victim was able to escape the man and get to safety. However, during the incident she was struck in the face by the assailant, leaving her with cuts and bruises.”

Police are currently investigating the incident, including a review of a local CCTV. They also called anyone with information to help with their investigations.
