Firefighters called to an industrial building near Chichester Brighton News

FIRE teams were called to an extraction unit that set fire to an industrial building.

Five fire engines rushed to Marsh Lane in Easthampnett, near Chichester, at 10.40am this morning.

Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus extinguished the fire shortly after their arrival.

Crews remained at the scene to ensure there were no more hot spots.

A West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: ‘We were called at 10.40am this morning to reports of a fire involving an industrial building on Marsh Lane, Easthampnett.

“Joint Fire Control mobilized fire engines from Arundel, Bognor Regis, Chichester, Littlehampton and Selsey to the scene.

“Upon arrival, firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus extinguished the fire involving an extraction unit on the property.

“They stayed put to make sure there were no more hot spots.”
