Two people taken to hospital after A27 crash near Chichester Brighton News

TWO people have been taken to hospital after a three-vehicle crash at a roundabout this morning.

The crash happened at Fishbourne roundabout on the A27 near Chichester just after 9am.

It caused serious delays of more than 40 minutes on the westbound A27 while emergency services were on the scene. The road reopened shortly after 11 a.m.

One of those taken to hospital was found to have minor injuries, while the other person’s injuries have not been confirmed.

A Sussex Police spokeswoman said: ‘Police were called shortly after 9am on Saturday (April 2) to a report of a three-vehicle collision on the A27 in Chichester.

“Two people have been hospitalized.

“The road has been temporarily closed westbound from the Fishbourne roundabout to allow emergency services to respond to the collision and organize vehicle recovery.

“It has since reopened.”
