West Sussex man will complete 30 challenges for Chestnut Tree House Brighton News

A MAN takes up 30 challenges to celebrate his 30th birthday and raise funds for a children’s hospice.

Glen Wofldenden turns 30 on April 30 and he’ll be taking on challenges throughout the year to raise money for Chestnut Tree House.

Glen, from Felpham in West Sussex, started with a dip in the sea on New Years Day and has since completed a 28-day board challenge, swam the English Channel virtually and snowboarded 100km in three days in Morzine, France.

With more than eight months to go, the challenges promise to push Glen out of his comfort zone.

He said: ‘I’m going to do a 300ft bungee jump at Bray Lake in Windsor in August.

“I’m definitely not a fan of heights, so you could say I feel nervous about taking on this challenge.”

Upcoming challenges vary in physical and mental difficulty, ranging from an inspired ‘Man for Food’ challenge to a 105km cycle around the Isle of Wight.

“She came home and told me about the amazing care they provide to children and families in our local community.
