A MAN has been found dead after falling from a cliff.
Emergency services were called to the cliffs at Eastbourne, near Belle Tout lighthouse, on Saturday April 2.
Police said a man was seen falling from the cliffs by a member of the public around 5.50pm.
He was confirmed dead at the scene.
“There are no suspicious circumstances,” a police spokesman said.
The RNLI Eastbourne said a team of volunteers were called at around 6.10pm.
They were asked to launch their inshore lifeboat and tasked with assisting local police and coastguards during the incident east of Belle Tout Lighthouse.
“There will be no further details due to the sensitive nature of the call,” a spokesperson said.
