Man arrested in connection with fatal A350 crash near Somerset border Bath City News

A man has been arrested in connection with a fatal collision near the Somerset border at Yanbrook earlier this week which closed the road for more than 12 hours. Officers were called to a collision involving two vehicles on the section of road between Yarnbrook and Heywood around 9.20pm Monday evening (April 4).

The accident involved a Range Rover and a Nissan X-Trail, and it has since been confirmed that the driver of the Nissan, a man in his 60s, sadly died at the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle, a 29-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He is currently being treated in hospital for injuries sustained in the collision.

A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “The road was closed for approximately 14 hours while investigators worked at the scene and reopened at around 11.30am yesterday (04/05).

“Wiltshire Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit is investigating the circumstances of the collision and we will continue to urge anyone with information, including anyone with dashboard camera footage board who could help our investigation, to make contact.
