Manhunt after bicycle theft at Gatwick Airport Brighton News

POLICE have released CCTV footage of a man they want to identify following a bicycle theft at an airport.

The owner of a black Raleigh pedal bike reported it stolen at Gatwick Airport on February 22.

It is believed the attacker used bolt cutters to cut a lock around 7.30am, before stealing the bike and riding away towards Horley, via an underpass.

After CCTV footage was shared with police by Gatwick Airport security, officers have identified a person they wish to speak to.

He was seen at Ashdown House at the airport and had been riding a purple bicycle towards the B staff car park.

The man is white with a short black beard, possibly in his 20s or early 30s.

He wore a dark woolen Bench winter hat with red and white lettering, a red scarf, a light and dark checkered shirt, and a dark-colored waistcoat.

Anyone who recognizes it or has information about the theft is asked to report it to Sussex Police online or via 101 and quote serial number 515 of 21/02.
