North Yorkshire Police said they closed Acomb Road at the junction with Holgate Road due to an accident.
The force said: “We are currently on site together with the ambulance service and are working hard to reopen the road.”
Anyone with information about the crash is asked to force call 101, citing incident number NYP-07042022-0049.
