FIREMEN fought to put out a fire in an abandoned building.
Fire crews were called to Lewes Road in Uckfield around 2.30pm to the blaze, which is affecting two floors of the property.
Footage from the scene shows multiple fire engines and other vehicles at the scene, with firefighters tackling the blaze with two main jets and two hydrants.
Part of the building appears to be missing a roof, with scorch marks along the side of the property.
Firefighters were also seen with breathing apparatus as they fought the blaze.
Sussex Police closed the road and people were told to avoid the area.
Traffic is diverted via the A22.
