Sussex man who sexually assaulted girl in holiday trailer jailed Brighton News

A MAN who sexually assaulted a teenage girl in a holiday trailer has been jailed for seven years.

Kevin Paul Horne, builder and decorator of Cross-In-Hand, Heathfield, was sentenced at Lewes Crown Court on Friday April 1.

The 42-year-old was convicted of two counts of sexual activity with a child at Winchelsea Sands Holiday Village in the summer of 2020.

Horne will be a registered sex offender and has also received a sexual abuse prevention order, severely restricting his access to children under 18, both for life.

Detective Constable Lyndsey Jamison of the East Sussex Safeguard Investigations Unit said: “Horne, who knew the girl, committed the two serious sexual offenses against her late in the evening while staying at the village.

“The victim testified in court, which significantly contributed to Horne’s conviction.

“We will always investigate such reports and seek justice for the victims where possible.”
