Investigation launched after man was stabbed at Snooker Center in Gateshead UK News

An investigation has been launched after a man was stabbed in a pool hall in Gateshead.

Officers from Northumbria Police attended the scene of the incident just after 4.30pm on Saturday April 16 following reports of a stabbing at the Snooker Center on Durham Road. A man was found injured in an attack and was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A police investigation into the incident is currently underway with officers looking for two suspects in connection with the knife attack. Officers remained at the scene Sunday morning as investigations continued.

A force spokesman said: “We were called to Durham Road in Gateshead just after 4.30pm following reports of a man who had been stabbed at the Snooker Center on Durham Road. The male victim was taken to hospital with no life-threatening injuries and our investigations are ongoing into the incident.”

He added that the victim reported that two people were allegedly involved in the incident. No arrests have yet been made and investigations into their fate are ongoing.

He added: “At the time of the incident, the victim said he was assaulted by two people and investigations are underway to locate them.”
