A WOMAN has been taken to hospital in critical condition following a crash on the A259.
Emergency services were called to Kings Road, Brighton at 3am today following reports of a crash involving a blue BMW car and a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, a 28-year-old woman, was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital in critical condition.
The road remained closed overnight as officers worked to clear the scene.
A Sussex Police spokesperson said: ‘Officers investigating the collision would like to hear from anyone who saw what happened or who may have captured relevant CCTV or dash cam footage of the area. .
“Anyone with information is asked to contact the police online or by calling 101 quoting Operation Autumn.”
