Bedford Council warns against scammers as it promises to pay £150 tax rebate by mid-May Bedford News

In a tweet earlier today (Wednesday), he said anyone eligible – those in Groups A-D – need not take action as “the systems are now in place”.

Those who do not pay by direct debit will receive a letter or email from the municipality with a unique access code.

The tweet added: “Please wait to receive the code and then you can fill out the form on our website to give your bank details for payment.”

And he warned: “Please beware of scams – this form will only be available on our website.”

The £150 council tax rebate is paid to households in a bid to combat the effects of the cost of living crisis.
