Home Bargains has invested around £3.5million in its new store in Portland Park, Ashington, which will officially open at 8am on April 23.
As one of the UK’s largest family retailers, Home Bargains is creating 50 new jobs in the local community with its store in Ashington. In total, the store will employ 60 team members, including some staff and management who will transfer from local stores.
He will also donate £2,000 to a local charity, Heart of the Hirst, a volunteer community center dedicated to bringing joy to Ashington through neighborhood management systems, street cleaning and fundraising. city repairs and improvements.

Carol Brown of Heart of Hirst said: “We greatly appreciate this donation; it will help us in our work in the Hirst area of Ashington.
The new Ashington store will join over 575 outlets across the UK. Opening around 50 stores a year, Home Bargains bucks current industry trends.

The 17674pc. ft store will offer shoppers a range of products including homewares, health and beauty essentials, candies, snacks and beverages, as well as fresh and frozen foods.
