Two fire crews from Central and one from the Lowedges fire stations attended the blaze and left the scene around 6:30 p.m. Saturday.
“However, a crew returned just to check that it had not reignited,” the spokeswoman added.
The Boundary Club was once a thriving venue, home to Abbey Lane Junior Football Club and a number of senior amateur teams.

The premises were already empty, with the club having moved elsewhere, before the building was destroyed by yobs in 2017.
In 2019, the six-acre plot was put on the market with a guide price of £250,000-£300,000.
It was described at the time as an opportunity for residential or mixed-use development, with the business case stating that such a project was “fully possible, but will take time”.
Nicholson and Co, which handled the sale, said at the time that 23 bids had been received “across a wide range of sums and intended uses”.
The firm added: “The site will be safe and secure now.”
