The horror incident happened on Wattville Road around 1pm on Friday. Police were quick to shut down the scene and confirmed the tot had suffered severe bruising.
The baby was later examined for other injuries.
A police spokeswoman told BirminghamLive: ‘An 18-month-old boy was taken to hospital after falling from a first floor window at a property in Wattville Road, Birmingham at around 1pm today.
“The child was left bruised and is currently being examined for other injuries.
“We have cordoned off the property while we investigate the circumstances of the fall.”
