M5 truck accident: One person taken to hospital after serious collision Bath City News

The ambulance service confirmed that a person had been taken to hospital following an accident between two lorries on the M5 motorway earlier today (Friday April 29).

The road was closed in both directions just after 1.30pm to allow the air ambulance to land, but the injured person was eventually taken to hospital by land ambulance. The southbound carriageway and one lane on the north side are now reopened.

However, serious delays of up to 90 minutes remain on the motorway and congestion has been cleared along the A38 and A370 which form the stage diversion route. You can follow our live blog for updates here.
