Rail services across Somerset have been canceled or delayed after someone was hit by a train. All lines between Taunton and Reading have been blocked for around 15 hours.
Great Western Railway says services are likely to be interrupted until early evening on Saturday April 20, 2022. Some stations between Taunton and Reading will not receive any trains as various services are cancelled, diverted or delayed.

The company’s statement read: “Due to a person being hit by a train between Taunton and Reading, all lines are blocked. Rail services through these stations will be cancelled, delayed for up to 60 minutes or diverted between Taunton and Reading .
“Some stations between Taunton and Reading will not be served. Disruption is expected until 6pm.”
