A WANTED person was arrested upon arrival at an airport.
The person was arrested on entering the country via Gatwick Airport on Wednesday April 27.
British Transport Police officers from the Ops Support Unit were assisted by Gatwick Police.
A police spokesperson said: ‘Officers from the British Transport Police Operations Support Unit have arrested a wanted person entering the country via Gatwick Airport.
“One person was arrested for multiple offences. A custody space for one has been reserved.
In February, a man was arrested for assault after an altercation at Gatwick airport.
Police were on the scene at 1am on February 15 following reports of an altercation.
A man was later arrested for common assault.
