Road closures planned in and around Barnet for road works UK News

Drivers may see their journeys disrupted due to a number of temporary closures in and around Barnet for roadworks, including one from tomorrow which is expected to last almost two months.

The closures are detailed in Barnet Council notices in this week’s edition of the Barnet Borough Hours as well as other restrictions that may be necessary during the execution of the work.

Closure from tomorrow is at Heybourne Crescent NW9, between numbers 55 and 77, due to water works related to ongoing development work.

The road is expected to be closed for 59 days and the diversion will be via Heybourne Crescent, Lanacre Avenue, Grahame Park Way, Field Mead, Clayton Field and vice versa.

Tapster Street EN5 is due to be closed at its junction with High Street, Barnet, from Wednesday for three days for the installation of a new main water connection.

The alternate route will pass through High Street, Moxon Street and vice versa.

Watermain component replacement work is expected to result in the temporary closure of Hodford Road NW11 from opposite No 101 to the junction with Rodborough Road.

The alternate route will go via Helensea Avenue, Finchley Road, Golders Green Road and vice versa.

Colin Park Road NW9 is to be closed at its junction with Sheaveshill Avenue from June 6 for five days for water main relay work.

Alternate routes will pass through Sheaveshill Avenue, A5 Edgware Road, Colindeep Lane and vice versa; or Sheaveshill Avenue, Colindeep Lane and vice versa.

A five-day closure at Hogarth Hill NW11, between its junctions with Willifield Way and Addison Way, is due to begin June 13.

This is to allow the realization of gully works.

The diversion will be via Finchley Road, Addison Way and vice versa.

New water connection works are expected to close Fryent Road NW9 between No 2 and No 60 from June 14 for 14 days.

Telecommunications installation work is to temporarily close the service road leading from No 121 to No 133 Colney Hatch Lane N10 from June 27 for four days.
