Man attacked late at night in Brighton Brighton News

A MAN was seriously injured and remains hospitalized after a night attack.

The incident happened in Beaconsfield Road shortly before 11.50pm on May 20, near the junction with Preston Circus.

Two men were seen leaving the scene, with a 33-year-old man seriously injured.

He was taken to hospital, where he is now.

Officers attended the scene and a 45-year-old Brighton man was arrested on suspicion of intentional injury, who remains in custody.

Police are keen to identify the second man in connection with the incident, who was carrying a distinctive large blue bean bag.

They also want to identify two men who were seen staying with the victim until the ambulance arrived.

Witnesses or anyone with information, such as CCTV footage, are asked to report it to Sussex Police online or by calling 101, quoting Series 1500 of 20/05.
