Speeding drivers caught during police operation in Sheffield UK News

Officers from Sheffield’s South East Borough Police Team ‘staged a speeding operation’ in Staniforth Road, Darnall on Thursday May 26 following residents’ concerns about the speeding.

In a Facebook post, officers said: “The team performed over 100 speed checks. We are happy to say that only three of these vehicles exceeded the 30 mph speed limit.

“Three traffic offense reports were issued to the drivers of the vehicle.

“A vehicle decided to film us carrying out our operation, the problem was that he was driving while doing this.

“We asked the driver to stop but he fled in his vehicle. We caught up with the driver shortly after.

“He was summoned to Sheffield Magistrates’ Court because he had racked up too many points on his licence.”
