Ms Malone criticized the railway strikes and claimed it affected the working class more. The RMT union has staged train strikes this week which have seen Britons affected by their planned protests, with more to come. The broadcaster claimed that those behind the strikes were political left-wing activists and that the protest was not about getting more pay, as railway staff, like train drivers, were already well paid .
Ms Malone told Jeremy Vine on the 5th: “This is the worst cost of living crisis in living memory, it wasn’t enough, these people are going to hit the workers.
“They’re going to prevent workers from getting to work, and it’s also going to cause power cuts, blackouts, empty supermarket shelves, gasoline shortages.
“You know, no union these days should be allowed to cripple the country, and if they have to, they should change the law.
“It’s a bunch of extreme left activists, it’s not about the salary, because the salary… The train drivers are very well paid, they are not badly paid workers.

Many Britons have faced long queues and significant delays on bus services due to high demand from people trying to use other forms of transport to get around.
The government has been urged to do more to prevent unions like RMT from being able to disrupt essential services as they currently can.
Transport Secretary Grant Shapps has warned unions he could have it enshrined in UK law, to make it illegal to halt such disruption.
Mr Shapps tweeted: “Very disappointing @RMTunion is taking action which could damage the rail network after taxpayers contributed £16billion, £600 per household, to keep jobs going during Covid. We are working with l industry to reduce disruption caused by strikes but urge unions to come and talk to employers.

RMT bosses made the rounds in the press this week, explaining why they took such drastic measures.
Some have asked the government for pay rises for their staff and have planned further strike breaks to ensure their demands are met.
General Secretary Mick Lynch said he wanted to have a face-to-face meeting with London Mayor Sadiq Khan to “settle this mess”.
Mr Lynch added: ‘There is no point in our union continuing to sit in the face of management representatives who have neither the inclination nor the authority to negotiate a settlement when the power lies with the mayor.
