New Nissan Juke Hybrid opens at £27,250 Car News

The Juke Hybrid offers new two-tone 17-inch alloy wheels and a 19-inch design inspired by those fitted to the future Nissan Ariya electric SUV.

Inside, it gains a new set of dials behind the steering wheel, hosting a power gauge, a needle to indicate regenerative charging and a battery charge level indicator.

Boot space is reduced by 68 liters compared to the 1.0-litre turbo petrol Juke, down to 354 liters to accommodate the 1.2 kWh battery. However, Nissan claims it still leads its class when the rear seats are folded down, at 1237 litres.

The Juke Hybrid also benefits from a drive mode select button that can be used to switch it to 100% EV mode, and power consumption can be displayed on the central 7.0-inch infotainment touchscreen.

“We are in the midst of an electrified product offensive that places as much emphasis on eco-efficiency as it does on driving pleasure,” said Arnaud Charpentier, regional vice president of product strategy at Nissan.

“Like all of our electrified products, the Juke Hybrid rewrites the rules of its segment, thanks to bold innovation that delivers more performance and more efficiency.”

The Juke Hybrid is part of Nissan’s plans to electrify its entire model lineup by 2023.
