The new BBC comedy Avoidance follows dad Jonathan whose life revolves around his nine-year-old son Spencer and has also always left the big and small decisions to his partner Claire.
But when Claire demands that he leave, Jonathan realizes he must try to keep his son happy because of the breakup.
As his relationship crumbles, the conflict-averse parent takes the youngster with him to live with his sister and wife, creating an unlikely family unit.
The show is written and produced by comedian Romesh Ranganathan who is best known for his hit show The Ranganation and starring fellow comedian Rob Beckett on Rob & Romesh Vs.

Taking a prime time slot on a Friday night, the show has a strong cast and is expected to be a hit.
