The 47-year-old said: ‘The fact that I didn’t have my dad in my life shaped how it happened.

“And that shaped the way I interact with men in relationships. I always want to be responsible. I don’t trust men because my dad was never around. I’m working on it now in my 40s. I trust more.

Hammond revealed last week that she was in a relationship. Her co-host Dermot O’Leary, 49, blurted on the show that she had been “caught”, reports The Sun.

Alison said: “Can you believe Dermot exposed me on TV? I’m a little disappointed to be honest with you because I can’t flirt with anyone else now.
