M5 traffic live: All vehicles held after car overturns in ‘multi-vehicle’ crash Bath City News

All traffic has been blocked on the southbound M5 after a car overturned in a multi-vehicle crash. The collision was reported on the southbound carriageway between Clevedon and Portishead.

Two lanes were initially closed, but it is now reported that all traffic has been blocked. Traffic lines up from the scene as the recovery begins.

Traffic monitoring site Inrix reported: ‘All traffic is temporarily blocked and traffic is at a standstill due to road debris and a crash, a car towing a caravan involved on the southbound M5 between J19 A369 Martcombe Road (Portishead) and J20 B3133 Ettlingen Way (Clevedon). All traffic was stopped around 1:45 p.m. for an overturned car and trailer in lanes one and two (of three).

National Highways also tweeted that the scene involves an overturned car. The tweet also indicates that the traffic has been interrupted.

It says: ‘The southbound M5 between J19 (Gordano Services) and J20 (Clevedon) traffic has been temporarily CLOSED due to a collision resulting in a car overturning. We will keep you updated.’
