Four miles of queues along the A27 near Chichester ahead of the Goodwood Festival Brighton News

There are four miles of traffic queuing up on the A27 before day one of the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

The delays extend from the Fishbourne roundabout near Chichester to Hambrook.

It comes after the closure of roads on Madgwick Lane, Claypit Lane, New Road and other roads around Goodwood Aerodrome.

It currently takes about 30 minutes to pass.

There are no trains to Chichester due to the RMT Union Railway strike.

There are also delays on the Whyke roundabout also on the Chichester Bypass.

Goodwood Festival runs from today until Sunday 26th June.

Car manufacturers come in droves to present all-new models to car enthusiasts.

This year’s festival will feature several events including the hill climb which will see a variety of cars parade, the electric avenue, the Michelin super car paddock, as well as the main paddock which will host F1 cars and much more.
