Actors wanted for a new film which starts shooting in Yorkshire this summer Yorkshire News

This week a casting call was made for the still unnamed production.

Claudia Blunt Casting tweeted: “Talent based in Yorkshire! Preparing for a movie shooting in God’s Own County in August. I’d love to meet some local faces. Leave your information below.”

Dozens of hopefuls have already submitted their details, and the tweet has received more than 500 likes.

There are several major movies and TV shows being filmed in Yorkshire at the moment, with more to follow.

Caroline Cooper Charles, chief creative officer of Screen Yorkshire, said the company has “never been busier” as it works to support dozens of productions, as well as providing funding for film projects in the region and training for young creatives who want to break into The industry.

She said: “The landscapes speak for themselves, they are extraordinary, and people have always been drawn to that and our amazing country houses. 2022 is going to be extraordinary and you will see so much more of Yorkshire on both the big and small screens.”

Productions such as Marvel’s Secret Invasion, Mission Impossible 7 and Indiana Jones 5 have been filmed in Yorkshire in recent months.

Areas of Leeds and Bradford have been closed for filming on BBC’s new thriller Better, while parts of Hull are closed for filming on Netflix’s Bodies.
