Interrail offers 50% discount on monthly passes for train travel in Europe UK News

The flash sale starts this morning (Friday, May 6) and lasts until 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, May 10, but digital passes purchased now can be used anytime over the next 11 months.

These ‘Continuous Passes’ allow unlimited travel for one, two or three months on the national railways of 33 participating countries.

The original one-month pass costs €335 (£279) with the offer, which is less than £10 a day.

Fares for longer journeys are even better, as a two-month ticket costs €366 (£304), while three months costs €451 (£375), which is less than £5 a day.

No age limit applies, but those 27 or younger get an additional 25% off, seniors 60 and over save 10% and those under 12 travel free.

Interrail passes are also valid on some ferry lines, particularly across the Adriatic between Italy and Greece, although port charges apply.

Dutch organization Eurail BV, which runs the scheme, said: “The promotion takes place during Europe Day which falls on May 9, paying tribute to the European unity and cultural exchange which is at the heart of the pass. Interrail from the very beginning.

It also falls on the 40th anniversary of the first Interrail pass.
