Successful bet for McFly & Carlito. The two YouTube stars took up the challenge launched by Emmanuel Macron, who had invited them to make a video on the importance of barrier gestures, by promising them to invite them to “turn at the Elysée” if they hit 10 million views. A goal reached Tuesday, February 23 in the evening, only two days after the posting of their clip.

The two youtubers responded to this “challenge” from the president by posting on Sunday morning I remember, a clip in the form of a walk, on a guitar tune, in which they invite Internet users to apply barrier gestures to regain their pre-Covid-19 life.

The clip opens with a sequence in which YouTubers announce that the president has agreed to participate in a “trivia contest” if they meet his challenge. The duo makes fun of the breaches of barrier gestures: the mask “under one’s nose”, hydroalcoholic gels not used because “too viscous” or rooms that you forget to ventilate, “sorry Mr. Castex”.

“The barrier gestures are important for you and your loved ones, try to respect them as much as possible, we know that it is starting to take a long time but we will all get there together”, plead the youtubers in the description of the video. The song was also published on the main music streaming sites and the two videographers pledged to donate the proceeds to Agoraé, a network of solidarity grocery stores for students.
